just bought 2 things of this but got back on in time to cancel my payment through paypal as it had not claimed!! lucky i bought so late at night!!! how did he get back on selling these items again after bein removed weeks ago for the same thing!! have bought alot off ebay and now i really am not so sure about buying anything of it anymore. will be contacting ebay on this matter first thing in the morning..

The name change comes shortly before it all ends and I'm guessing that is around the time the original ID gets indexed by Google so he does this not only to confuse those who have already bought but to stop new bidders gaining any info from Googling the new name.

Any idea when eireliquid09 / directgovernmentauctions was closed down? I didn't stay up all night to watch.

I'm guessing he was active this time for around 12hours but thats all it needs to take people in.

Anyone wanting to see the auctions might still be able to see them here and I've downloaded all the pics he uses so will post them here later. If you didn't see them on eBay then the title of the auction see above and the pic is all that the auction listing consists of.

It would be interesting if RasTa could comment on this; I don't think you were lucky with the timing, I just think that either the scammer has a problem at his end (well we know he has a problem ) with whatever PayPal account he sets up or their are some restrictions that prevent him withdrawing the money straight away. It might be that the negative feedback kicked in some PayPal restrictions but who knows, info from someone who does would be useful. Might also be the type of external account the scammer uses to stay anonymous but stilll allows him to get at the money - a normal credit card wouldn't be very anonymous if PayPal decided to investigate and pass info to the Guards.

Another point on the timming issue, the seller was awake untill about 3PM at least when he changed his eBay name so my guess is he stayed up all night for his weekly scam.

Same guy same scam only last week.

All you need to set up a new selling account in eBay is an Email Address, a eBay ID and a PayPal account.

You can set up as many eBay accounts as you like each just needs a new email account (not used for another ID).

PayPal is just as easy if your account has been used for scamming then whatever payment method was set on it can never be used again once the account has been locked but if you have 5 credit cards you can have 5 PayPal accounts or better still and I'm no expert in this area afaik you can just go and buy a new 3V account and use that with PayPal. I'm sure there are other ways that I don't know of.

None the shill accounts used in the scam need a PayPal account as the seller doesn't need to pay out any money from his shill accounts.

ebay must check what ip address accounts are on, also i thought you needed a phone number for ebay and paypal , i dont really know though, he obviously does though.
