eBay claims to have 233 million members worldwide yeah and I’m worth several millions pound if I saved every penny, didn’t pay taxes and worked overtime but
the reality is nothing like that and we are only able to find about 30 million active members across the globe after trawling eBay for over a year
and that includes following up to 200 feedback links from each members feedback page.
The 233 million figure banded around by eBay is of no relevance at all but if you are prepared to dig a little deeper then eBay does eventually come
clean and says it has about 14 million active members in the UK and this is a figure we can broadly agree upon if active members is defined as anyone
who has traded during the past year.
